Personally I think anything under 2.5 inches can make you look dumpy, unless its a cute narrow kitten heel, otherwise you would be better off to avoid any heel at all really. Ideal heel high has to be between 2.5 inches and 3.5 inches absolute maximum. Only designer shoes up to 4 inches. Anything over 3.5 inches and you are wearing 'Stripper Shoes'. You look cheap and easy. Sorry, maybe that's what you want?
I've done some very limited research and most studies seem to agree on this, but there aren't actually all that many studies,mostly just personal opinions in magazines and such like. The above is definitely my personal opinion, but what do you think?
